Summer Schools will provide students with the foundation they need to become part of the next generation of leaders and innovators. Students will be immersed in the core principles of management, the practical process of innovation and the explore the mindset that combines to form all successful leader.

Often housed in historic University settings, students will have the opportunity to study in classrooms and explore the historic streets where Nobel prize winners and Prime Ministers developed their key academic and life skills. Experiencing a holistic education nurtures an individual’s ability to coexist and cooperate effectively with other people, regardless of the situation or professional context they might find themselves in. Courses will include; the opportunity to network with peers and implement problem-solving in real word scenarios, debating and public, mastering time management and targeting career pathways.

Combining practical Business and Innovation projects with classroom-based teaching, group project work and specialised excursions to business organisations. Students will be encouraged to learn how to think, behave and communicate like business leaders. Specialist topics include developing critical thinking skills for leaders, building strategic relationships, digital marketing, ethics, culture management, women in leadership and future workplaces. 

Enterprise & Entrepreneurship - is suitable for students for whom English is their first language, or who have a strong command of English. On this course students will work in teams and learn about enterprise and being an entrepreneur. Workshops on spotting a business idea, creating a business plan, sourcing finance, presenting the idea and taking the idea to completion will help students become more confident in their individual creativity, and presentation and problem-solving skills. A social enterprise is one that has no shareholders but instead gives its profits to social causes. The culmination of the course will be an event, planned and presented by students, which promotes and benefits their chosen social cause.

 

  • Summer Schools in the UK take advantage of the unparalleled facilities offered by boarding schools, there are no crowded huts and basic provisions here; boarding accommodation is by gender and age group with a mix of nationalities in each room and will often be in a breathtaking historic building.
  • Younger students may share in a room with 4 to 6 students, older children will share with two in a room or a single bedroom. Bathrooms with showers are shared.
  • The Boarding House has a dedicated house parent to oversee the running of the house and welfare of the students. Medical staff are on site.
  • There are common rooms with games, TV and books, WiFi, small kitchen for preparation of snacks. But students find there is never a spare moment, with activities, sports, trips and incredible experiences with new friends to enjoy.
  • Main meals are taken in the main dining room; fresh, healthy food with hot and cold options are offered. Packed lunches are provided for off-site activities; vegetarian, vegan and special dietary needs are catered for.
  • Course fees range from £1,600 to £3,500 per week which will cover tuition, boarding accommodation, food, laundry, airport transfers, activities, excursions and evening entertainment.
  • Programmes run for 2, 3, 4 or 6 weeks (a minimum of 2 weeks is recommended). Summer schools and take place during July and August and are aimed at 8 to 17 years.
