Cranleigh is Surrey’s leading co-educational independent school, offering a breath taking range of opportunities for boarding and day pupils aged 3 to 18 set in a beautiful 280-acre campus. We provide an academically ambitious yet balanced education that nurtures the intellectual curiosity and well-being of every student. We believe that every student is capable of outstanding academic performance within a healthy and inclusive atmosphere. In 2025, Cranleigh achieved its best post-pandemic A-level results, with most pupils awarded their first-choice university offer. Our goal is to motivate a new generation of leaders who think globally, act with integrity, and make courageous contributions to an ever-changing world.
Cranleigh is well-known as a sporting powerhouse, with successful teams, high performance programmes and expert coaches. The performing arts play a central role in school life, supported by an impressive range of ensembles, from the eighty-strong chapel choir to jazz and rock concerts and full-scale musical productions.
Our Combined Cadet Force (CCF) was established in 1900 and is part of the Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment. This promotes leadership, teamwork and self-discipline. From the 2026/27 academic year, families joining Cranleigh School who are eligible for the Continuity of Education Allowance (CEA) will pay just 10% of full boarding fees, subject to availability. Military families not eligible for CEA may apply for support through our standard bursary process.
