Established in 1862, Clifton College welcomes boarders from across the UK and the world who join with our day pupils from the vibrant and diverse city of Bristol.
We provide a modern education set amongst stunning historic buildings. We pride ourselves on providing an education where character is as important as capability. Through superb teaching and a wealth of academic choices we make certain that every young person is supported, encouraged and driven to achieve their very best. Outside the classroom, our pupils are truly fortunate to have such a range of opportunities within the co-curriculum from superb sport coaching to an amazing range of clubs and activities.
Here they develop as young people and realise lifelong interests and passions. Whether boarding or day, each pupil is assigned to a specific House, a distinctive feature of the pastoral care offering. These Houses are individual buildings, each managed by a dedicated Housemaster or Housemistress, along with a team of tutors, providing a robust support network for every child. This structure allows pupils to belong to their very own micro-community, fostering a strong sense of belonging throughout.
For over 150 years the College has provided a base for the children of serving Forces and Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office personnel. For more information about fees for forces families please visit our website.
