Wrekin College

Senior co-education school in Wellington, Shropshire

Wrekin College is a flourishing independent co-educational day and boarding school in Shropshire, and a very happy place to work and study. Wrekin is most interested in stretching, challenging and supporting pupils to be the best version of themselves as individuals, and as a community. We have two junior houses and six senior houses, three of which accommodate both our UK and international boarders combined.

Opportunities abound in music, art, sport, drama, debating, Combined Cadet Force and Duke of Edinburgh, as well as many other activities. However, our focus is on academic achievement, producing well-educated and rounded individuals, with a wealth of skills to enable them to confidently enter the world of further education and employment. Our extensive co-curricular programme is a vital part of that focus; Wrekin’s Character Adventure Training initiative, which includes our Business School, CCF and Duke of Edinburgh schemes, form part of our wider Employability curriculum.

We are proud to welcome children of Forces families and military fee remissions are available for children of HM Forces personnel. Specialist staff with first-hand military experience will make the transition to Wrekin straightforward for the whole family.
