Horris Hill is a successful day and boarding school set in 65 acres of Berkshire countryside. Established in 1888 with a focus on academic achievement, Horris Hill has become known as one of the top preparatory schools in the world. For over 130 years, over 60% of all pupils have progressed through the school to secure coveted places at Winchester, Harrow, Eton and Radley. In addition, for those whose strengths are more creative or sporting, Horris Hill continues to get children scholarships into the right schools for them across the UK and globally.
In September 2022, Horris Hill opened its doors to girls for the first time. We are delighted that a number of girls have joined us as a new chapter for the school begins, and are confident that they will go on to be as successful as our boys have been for over 130 years. The school is owned by Forfar Education, founded by a former Queen’s Royal Hussar, John Forsyth. We fully recognise the support that all our current armed forces and veterans require, not just those with CEA. For that reason, we offer the largest bursaries in the country to all serving forces personnel and veterans.
In recognition of our debt to those who serve the UK in its Armed Forces, we have specific bursary support for families, both of currently serving personnel and veterans. This is a limited offer and available to families new to Horris Hill School. Boarders (without CEA) receive a 40% bursary and day pupils, from Reception, a 30% bursary.
