Founded in 1893, Harrogate Ladies’ College is a day and boarding school for girls aged 11-18 located in the heart of the beautiful spa town of Harrogate. Outstanding teaching, excellent pastoral care and a friendly community allow girls to excel academically and become confident young women who strive to be the best they can be. Pupils achieve excellent exam results with particularly high grades in STEM subjects. In 2022, over 76% of students received offers from Russell Group universities and 78% secured their first or second choice of university.
Outside of the classroom there are many opportunities for pupils to excel in a wide range of specialist fields including Sports, Drama and Music. With over 50+ extra curricular clubs and societies and a varied weekend activity programme there’s always something going on! Being a boarder is a unique life experience which enables girls of all ages to build independence and lifelong friendships. It’s a warm, nurturing, family environment and each boarding house has a dedicated housemistress to care for and support the pupils.
Pupils also benefit from the School’s location in a quiet, safe residential area which is just five minutes’ walk from Harrogate’s historic town centre. Excellent road and rail links mean that York, Leeds and Manchester are all within easy reach.
