Kingsley School Devon

Co-educational boarding and day in Bideford, Devon

Kingsley, ISA Sustainability and Environmental Education UK School of the Year, is a single campus co-ed Boarding and Day school situated amidst 25 acres of playing fields, gardens and woods, just a few miles from stunning surfing beaches in one direction and the wilds of Exmoor and Dartmoor national parks inland.

The school’s ethos is to achieve success and happiness through positive mental health and wellbeing. With just 400 or so students, it’s an ideal setting for families who want their children to benefit from individual attention and encouragement. Class sizes are small so the teachers and boarding house parents know the children extremely well. Forming part of a community environment means students at Kingsley develop a unique sense of togetherness during their entire school career.

Kingsley School provides an excellent education, offering 48 confidence-building extracurricular activities (including the extremely popular Surf, Rugby, Judo, Football, Gymnastics and Netball Academies) and a level of pastoral care which is second to none. Exceptional public exam results (A levels: AA* grade 44%) are testament to how children are supported and benefit from a tailormade education to build upon their talents and help target areas which need additional support.

School transport for students, accompanied by a member of staff, travels from London’s Heathrow Airport, Bristol Airport and Exeter Airport at the beginning of each term and
returns at the end of each term.
