Led by an exceptional head, this is a big-hearted, diverse school that buzzes with energy, enthusiasm and happiness.

A palpable sense of community, inspired by the Head Master’s caring ethos, sees both pupils and parents making life-long forces families who travel are as warmly welcomed as their local counterparts. The boarding house has a special family atmosphere, where older pupils look after their younger ‘brothers and sisters’ in their beloved home-from-home. Boarders wellbeing and happiness is a priority, and staff focus on being kind and consistent to deliver the stability required as a foundation for learning.

Annually around 80% of pupils achieve scholarships to their chosen senior schools across disciplines including academic, music, sports, art, drama and STEM. Teachers play to the strengths of the pupils and senior school destinations are as varied as the individuals who progress there.
