Walhampton gives children the space, support and encouragement to explore their passions and to think wild. We are determined to develop and nurture each child into a confident young person, instilling our values of ‘Kindness, Curiosity and Achievement.’ Our unique location in 100 acres of woodland on the edge of the New Forest and The Solent means that we can offer a broad and balanced education that takes learning seriously both in and beyond the classroom. We regularly delve into our kitchen garden, fields, lakes and woodland to bring subjects to life. We follow the Pre-Senior Baccalaureate (PSB), an assessment model that has at its heart the development of the values, skills, attitudes and behaviours required for children to flourish in the ever changing world of tomorrow.
The Walhampton co-curricular programme ensures children have access to a huge range of enriching activities and experiences such as fishing, beekeeping and cookery. Riding takes place at our dedicated equestrian centre whilst sailing is easily accessible on the Lymington River and Solent. Our Sports for all ethos and development programmes ensure that all pupils can both develop and excel at sport.
Pupils achieve 100% success in entry to their first-choice senior school at 13 and typically 40% are awarded onward scholarships in a range of disciplines. Full boarding is available from Year 3 with many families also utilising our flexible boarding options. CEA is accepted and military discounts can be discussed as part of our bursarial support.
