Glenalmond College

Co-educational boarding and day, Perthshire and Kinross
Nestled in the stunning Scottish Highlands, just over an hour from Edinburgh International Village, the glorious 300-acre Glenalmond School campus provides inspirational learning within a safe setting. We are a co-educational boarding and day school for pupils aged between 12 to 18. We offer a comprehensive curriculum, including A-levels, GCSEs and Scottish Highers, taught by academic staff passionate about helping every pupil achieve their full potential.

Beyond the classroom, Glenalmond is a place of boundless opportunity. Pupils immerse themselves in an array of activities that reflect the best of our British traditions and adventurous spirit: from kayaking and Munro-bagging to rifle shooting, archery, fishing, cycling, and more. Golf enthusiasts can hone their skills in our indoor Golf Hub or on our century-old James Braid-designed nine-hole course.

Our seven boarding houses provide a ‘home from home’ family environment, with each having a strong identity and spirit, adding greatly to the pupil experience. For more than 175 years, the purpose of Glenalmond has been to develop fine human beings and good citizens ready to go out and make the world a better place.

The Warden, Mark Mortimer is clear in his approach: ‘We do this by setting high standards, by putting people and relationships first, by living our values, by taking the time to get to know and listen to every pupil, by gathering every day as a community, and by fostering a culture in which mutual support, a willingness to get stuck in, and a desire to do one’s best are paramount.’ The College is proud of its history and sense of tradition, yet it is also forward-thinking, adventurous, innovative and ambitious for the future.
