 Founded in 1879, we pride ourselves in providing a first-class education both inside and outside the classroom. A traditional boarding school with a modern outlook offering a wealth of opportunities, from exemplary pastoral care, a dynamic extra curricular programme to a nurturing, supportive community.

Located on the Kent coast – only 75 minutes to central London by train and within easy reach of Heathrow and Gatwick. Boarding is central to school life here at St Lawrence and one of our greatest strengths. Offering a ‘home-from-home’ full boarding experience, all our boarding rooms are en-suite. We offer a 6 day week school (with Saturday) and exeat weekends are optional for Boarders. The Campus based school is safe and secure. St Lawrence is very proud to be one of 14 founding schools globally to have been granted the status of a World Class High Performance Learning School and yet we offer the diversity and support all children should experience throughout their education.

With over 50 children whose families are in the Armed Forces we are able to offer a true boarding school experience. HM Forces personnel in receipt of CEA only pay 10% of our school fees, which makes affordability key.
