School and 440 in the Senior School of which 181 are boarders. St Lawrence welcomes full boarding pupils from 7 to 18 years to our stunning 80 acre campus only 15 minutes walk to the beach. We take great care to support each child, nurturing them to reach their potential in all aspects of school life. Academic standards are high, and an extensive choice of GCSEs and A-levels are offered, with an excellent success rate of pupils going on to their first choice of university. Sporting facilities are exceptional and recognised nationally in the top 200 Sports Schools in the UK and Top 100 cricket schools. The creative arts flourish, enhanced by the school’s own 500 seat theatre, music, design technology and photography studios.
A wide range of evening and weekend activities are provided for boarders, along with additional events and fun day trips. A substantial programme of investment has created exceptional boarding facilities with all rooms en-suite. London is only 75 minutes away via direct high-speed train from Ramsgate to London St Pancras International and the school runs its own airport transfer service to Heathrow.
With over 50 children whose families are in the Armed Forces we are able to offer a true boarding school experience. HM Forces personnel in receipt of CEA only pay 10% of our school fees, which makes affordability key.
