Highfield and Brookham

Co-educational Prep boarding and day in Liphook, Hampshire

As a family-owned prep school with decades of experience supporting children from Armed Forces families, we understand the unique challenges that Service life brings. We provide the continuity, stability and genuine warmth that military families value most. Boarding is at the heart of our community. With around 100 boarders, we offer a gentle and nurturing introduction to boarding from Year 4, earlier than many schools, giving children a secure and familiar base from a young age. Weekends are full and welcoming; with over 80% of our boarders being British, so the sense of belonging never stops.

Academically, our approach is firmly future-focused. We teach sport and the arts with the same ambition and rigour as English, maths and science. Our Essential Skills Framework runs through every lesson, developing leadership, communication, resilience and critical thinking, skills children need for an ever-changing world. The UN Sustainable Development Goals also shape our curriculum, giving pupils a moral and civic foundation that aligns closely with the values of Forces families.

For families claiming the Continuity of Education Allowance (CEA), we accept the minimum 10% parental contribution. Day pupils from military families also receive a 10% fee discount. We are a strong community with equally strong values – Be Kind, Be Courageous, Be You. This spirit and togetherness brings such success to our school.
