With over 400 boarders, we provide a genuinely 7-day-a-week boarding experience that fosters a sense of belonging, friendship and community, alongside academic and personal growth. Located in central England, just off the A1, Oakham offers excellent road and rail links to London, Birmingham, and Cambridge. Our homely and welcoming Boarding Houses are vibrant, close-knit communities led by a team of dedicated staff who ensure each child feels at home. We pride ourselves on our extensive experience in helping children from the UK and across the world settle into school life quickly, build
lasting friendships, and enjoy a sense of security.

 

Oakham School offers an exceptional array of academic and co-curricular opportunities: A-levels, BTECs, and the IB Diploma in the Sixth Form; 27 GCSE subjects, 30 sports, 6 drama and dance productions annually, 80 concerts; and 125 activities such as CCF, DofE, and Volunteering – allowing your child to explore and develop their passions. Oakham School’s Military Allowance Scheme offers reduced fees for forces families receiving the Continuity of Education Allowance (CEA) from the Ministry of Defence.  Currently (January 2025) families pay £1,135 per term.
