Ashford School

Co-educational boarding and day in Ashford, Kent

English town with an academically challenging curriculum and expert, inspirational teachers. This mixture allows us to bring out the very best in your child. Developing good character and high levels of conscientiousness is helped by playing team sports as well as performing in music in ensembles, choirs and orchestras. This group ethos and an emphasis on collaboration plays an important part of the development of social cohesion and friendships among pupils. Our Independent School Inspection report highlighted that ‘pupils are prepared for their futures with confidence in a changing world’. Everything we do aims to ensure your child will be equipped for career success, a happy family life and strong, long lasting friendships. They will be ‘educated for life’.

Our learning is underpinned by four key factors: celebrating individuality, optimising potential, academic rigour and adventurous learning. We believe that learning should be challenging, motivating and lead to a sense of fulfilment, which is why we strive to provide an inspiring environment that encourages growth and adventure. In recent years, 75% of students secured their firm or insurance university choice with 70% gaining a place at a Russell Group University. 2025 saw the best GCSE and A Level results awarded to Ashford School students in recent years. An impressive 96% of all grades were awarded at 9-4 (A*-B), with 61% of these being achieved at 9-7 (A*-A). With 36% of 2025 A Level grades A*-A and 68% A*-B.
