Situated in 260 acres of beautiful parkland in Reigate, Surrey, the Royal Alexandra and Albert School is a state boarding school for boys and girls age 7-18. There is a strong boarding ethos, with around 400 of the School’s 1,100 students being full boarders.
The School has a long history of educating children from Forces families and understands the importance of continuity of education. To facilitate a smooth transition and integration into school and boarding life, a dedicated Coordinator for Foundation & MOD students provides support to children from Forces families. The School’s extensive grounds house fantastic sporting facilities, including five rugby pitches, flood-lit all-weather sports pitches, a fitness centre, indoor swimming pool, and Equestrian Centre. These facilities not only promote physical well-being but support students to explore a wide range of activities and pursue diverse experiences, enabling them to broaden their horizons and enrich their overall learning journey.
In the Sixth Form, there is an emphasis on developing leadership skills and a global outlook. All students undertake, alongside their A Levels, the Extended Project Qualification, which further nurtures their critical thinking, research, and project management abilities. At the core of the School’s community is an understanding of student needs and a commitment to education – in the truest sense of the word. That is, the development of academic achievement, strong values, character, resilience and independence.
