Founded in 1514, it has a strong tradition of encouraging independent thought, stretching and challenging pupils to find their own approach to learning within a supportive atmosphere.

Pocklington School lies 12 miles east of York in a safe, rural setting on the edge of a small, friendly market town. It is an hour from Leeds Bradford Airport and less than two hours from Manchester Airport by car. York is two hours from London by train.
