Milton Abbey School

Co-educational boarding and day, Dorset

Full boarders and day students alike thrive in this warm and welcoming school. 90% of the students are full boarders and 70% are British, which makes the school a perfect setting for military families to consider for the next step in your child’s education. Milton Abbey School offers an outstanding range of traditional and vocational subjects, chosen to inspire students and prepare them for adult life. From Music Technology to Mathematics, History to Hospitality, Fashion Design to French, or Creative Media to Criminology. Milton Abbey School builds the perfect study programme for every child. The focus is not only on what a student needs to learn, but on developing attitudes and habits for lifelong success.

The school has a track record of building confidence in young people and enabling them to succeed. Its deliberately small size, combined with exceptional pastoral care and strong partnerships with parents, means that every child is known and appreciated as an individual. Based on this, the school sets ambitious, personalised targets that are met through a careful balance of support and challenge. Pupils make the most of a glorious countryside setting, build lasting friendships and enjoy a full programme of sports and co-curricular activities. With a full boarding approach and six days a week of school, Milton Abbey School is as busy in the evenings and weekends as it is during the school day.
