Dulwich College is a vibrant and high-achieving community of day boys and boarders from age 7 to 18. In 1619 Edward Alleyn founded the College to provide education and lodgings for 12 scholars; today we have 140 boarders from the UK and 25 countries from around the world. We are academically selective, but diverse in our breadth of talents, character and backgrounds. It is this social mix that makes Dulwich a special place.
Situated in 70 acres, yet only 12 minutes by train from central London, Dulwich College enjoys outstanding academic, cocurricular and sporting facilities, including a 2017 RIBA National Award-winning Science and Arts building, The Laboratory. Dulwich has a tradition of inspired teaching and genuine scholarship; pupils from the College join the most competitive of universities worldwide and thereafter enter all the major professions, with many choosing Medicine, Engineering and the Law.
