“A great school with a brilliant ethos - friendly, fair, intimate, encouraging individuality and passion”

Claremont is a small school with a friendly, collegiate feel; our teachers, staff and students are close, and we foster an environment that is respectful, compassionate and conducive to positive learning. We encourage all our students to embrace the idea that great knowledge and personal development comes with a degree of good struggle and endeavour. We ensure our students become the very best version of themselves, to grow respectful of their individual privilege and to be aware of how they can become active, impactful citizens of the world.

We are a non-selective school; we do not ask prospective students to sit an entrance examination. Instead, we interview all our international candidates in person or online, in English. Alongside this process, we study current school reports and align future academic and career aspirations, as appropriate. Although non-selective, Claremont’s GCSE and A level results have been truly exceptional and our OFSTED report is continually ‘Outstanding’ across all criteria.

Being able to prepare young people for maths degrees at Harvard as effectively as for fashion courses in London is something all our staff are enormously proud of.
