Rookwood School

Co-educational boarding and day in Andover, Hampshire

Nestled on an eight-acre site just a short walk from Andover town centre and railway station, Rookwood School values each pupil as an individual, fosters a love of learning and, above all, is an incredibly happy place to learn. Rookwood pupils dare to question, explore, and excel beyond their expectations.

Rookwood has great teachers and lovely parents. I have never felt more welcomed by a school.

Our Prep School offers a vibrant and nurturing environment where pupils thrive, supported by caring and ambitious staff. Our Senior School is a dynamic place where academic excellence is encouraged and expected and staff prepare an exciting curriculum, which stretches and challenges all pupils, leading to continued exam success. Our Sixth Form offers flexible, tailor-made support, expert teaching and significantly more contact hours per week than students could expect from state provision.

Rookwood School is highly experienced in educating and caring for pupils from armed forces families, with many families currently on roll and staff with military backgrounds. Pupils can start their Rookwood journey at any age, from 2 to 18 years, and we offer a variety of boarding options from 7 years including full-time, weekly and flexi-boarding in our home from-home boarding houses.

Rookwood School is the closest independent school to Army Headquarters, and we have bus routes to Middle Wallop, Worthy Down and Tidworth. Serving members of the British Armed Forces receive 15% off our tuition fees.
