Kingham Hill School

Co-Educational boarding and day in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire

Dean Close Kingham Hill School is a vibrant, co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 11–18. Set in 105 acres of stunning Cotswold countryside, it offers the perfect environment in which to study, relax, and be active. There are excellent transport connections, with London Heathrow just 90 minutes away, and direct rail links to London (80 minutes) and Oxford (29 minutes), offering a rare blend of rural tranquillity and easy accessibility. Small by design, the school prioritises a personalised and high-quality educational experience, ensuring every pupil is known, valued, and supported throughout their journey.

Academic excellence is central to life at Kingham Hill. The majority of Sixth Form leavers gain places at their first-choice universities, both in the UK (including Oxford and Cambridge in 2025) and abroad. Alongside academic lessons, a dynamic co curricular programme encourages pupils to explore new interests and develop lifelong passions, whether in sport, drama, music, or outdoor pursuits. These opportunities build confidence, creativity, and resilience. Pupils join one of eleven Houses, each offering a warm, family-style environment. Most boarders are full-time, keeping weekends lively with trips and events. With a diverse and international pupil body, Kingham Hill fosters a nurturing and global environment where young people grow into well-rounded, compassionate, and capable leaders, ready to contribute meaningfully and thrive in an ever-changing world.

We are proud to be home for over 30 pupils from HM Forces families - Forces and UK Diplomatic families pay no more than 10% of fees, with the full CEA entitlement. Many of our staff members are ex-military, bringing their valuable experience and a caring approach to support military families within our close-knit, family-style community.
