What to expect on the day
The UK Boarding School Exhibition brings together up to 15 schools from across the UK for one evening in Al Khobar. You can move between stands at your own pace, meet Heads and admissions teams face-to-face, and get a genuine feel for what each school offers – academics, sport, extracurriculars, pastoral care and much more.
Anderson Education's consultants are on hand throughout, offering free, impartial advice whether you're comparing your options, want a second opinion on a shortlist, or don't know where to start. There's no obligation to register with a school on the day – it's simply a chance to ask questions before you make a decision.

Get to know the hosts, Anderson Education
For the past 27 years, we have been working with local and expat families worldwide, to find the best school for their child to ensure that they develop, grow and achieve their potential academically in a safe, secure environment. We have visited over 350 UK boarding schools and are able to recommend schools for you to consider and help you through the process.
On the day, our consultants will be on hand to help you:
- Understand admissions timelines and entrance requirements for international students
- Talk through guardianship and what it involves for international families
- Compare schools against what actually matters for your child: academics, sport, pastoral care, size, location
- Discuss the schools that could be the best fit for your child
- Help you plan your child's future
What families have to say
"Finding a boarding school is a daunting task, especially if, like us, you've never had any dealings with such establishments before. Having been pointed in the direction of Anderson Education, the weight of responsibility fell away. Not only did they offer us some very sound advice, but they did so at 9pm on a Friday evening"
Paul & Sue, parents of two boarders
"Anderson Education helped me and my daughter make light work of a minefield of schools on offer. Informative guidance and great support made such a difficult decision much easier. My daughter is now settled and happy at her new school. Thank you."
Christine, mum of a new boarder
Our daughter expressed an interest in boarding after attending a summer singing programme in a UK boarding school. She was drawn to the facilities and quality of education that a traditional well-ranked UK boarding school could offer. Anderson Education were recommended to us and we were over the moon with their speed and efficiency. 2 Weeks and 2 days later we had three offers and accepted a place at the school we wanted!

Frequently asked questions
Is the exhibition free to attend?
Yes. Entry is free.
Do I need to register in advance?
Registering ahead of time isn't required to attend, but it helps to make your arrival more streamlined and we can keep you up to date about how to prepare for your visit and schools that you can meet.
Which schools will be there?
Up to 15 UK boarding schools will be exhibiting - see the full list above.
Does my child need to come with me?
It's entirely up to you. Some families prefer to do the first round of research alone and bring their child to a shortlisted school visit later; others like their child to get a feel for the schools in person.
What age should my child join a boarding school?
Popular points of entry are age 11 (Year 7), age 13 (Year 9), age 14 (Year 10) to start an IGCSE programme and age 16 (Year 12 - Sixth Form) for a two year A Level, IB or Btec programme.
What is a UK guardian, and do we need one?
UK boarding schools require every international student to have a UK-based guardian - someone who can act in loco parentis during term time for things like exeat weekends, medical appointments, and school communication. It's a standard part of boarding for overseas families, and we can talk you through how it works and how to arrange it.
I can't attend on 12 November – can you still help?
Yes. Anderson Education's advice isn't limited to exhibition day - get in touch and one of our consultants can help you from wherever you are.
